Our government gave free gas and ration to the people for 5 months: Nirmala Sitharaman

New Delhi: In order to improve the deteriorated economy from Corona epidemic and lockdown, the central government has given relief to many sectors in several economic stimulus package of 20 lakh crore. But Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman alleged that she did not give anything in the form of cash to the people facing the crisis.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says that giving cash amount is just generous, but we have considered various options and suggestions from many sectors. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in a special conversation with the news agency ANI that we have provided direct help to the people under the Pradhan Mantri Kalyan Yojana, in which people are being given free domestic gas and free food for 5 months. In relation to migrant laborers, Finance Minister Sitharaman said that the central government has provided financial assistance for shelter home, medical aid and food.

On the politics between the state government and Congress over bringing migrant laborers in Uttar Pradesh, Sitharaman said that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should think, when more than 300 trains are coming in Uttar Pradesh, why only 5 in Chhattisgarh. He said that this is merely a political drama for political reasons.
