New Delhi: Giving information about the fourth instalment of the Rs 20 lakh crore economic package for the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that a policy change is needed for strengthening many sectors. Nirmala Sitharaman said that big announcements will be made for 8 sectors today.
He said that the first major announcement of the government has been made for the coal sector. There will be commercial mining in the coal sector. Government monopoly will end. More coal will be provided at the right price. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that we have to be fully prepared for the competition. PM Modi is in favour of major reform. Efforts are on to promote employment, production. India is the first choice for investment across the globe. We have to make our products reliable.
He said that our focus is on basic reforms. The decision of bank reform was taken in the interest of the country. Nirmala Sitharaman further said, "Self-reliant India, Make in India is a very important campaign. There are good opportunities in India for foreign investment. Reforms like DBT, GST are important for the country. India's focus is on Ease of Doing Business. "
