He announced reforms in the fields of coal, minerals, defense production, social infrastructure, aviation, power distribution, space and nuclear power.

1-coal
The government's monopoly in the coal sector will be abolished. Commercial mining will be started in the coal sector. India has the third largest coal reserves in the world. 50 new blocks will be auctioned.

2-Minerals
Structural improvements will be made in the mineral sector. 500 mining blocks will be provided. There will be a joint auction of bauxite and coal. Stamp duty will be made practical.

3-electric
Power distribution will be privatized in the union territories. This will provide good service and develop as a model in power distribution. Other states will also be inspired by them. This will bring stability in the power sector. Electricity companies will be paid on time. Also, subsidy will be given through DBT.

4-Social Infrastructure
Viability gap funding has been amended to promote private investment in social infrastructure such as hospitals and schools. The government has increased it from 20 percent to 30 percent. This will increase private investment. A provision of Rs 8100 crore has been made for this.

5-Defense Zone
The Ordnance Factory Board, which manufactures defense products in the country, will be incorporated. The Finance Minister clarified that this is not privatization. This will improve the functioning of the board. We hope that it will be listed further which will give the common citizens an opportunity to buy its shares. Which will bring self-reliance in the defense sector.

6-Civil Aviation
Airline restrictions for civilian aircraft will be reduced. At present, only 60 percent of the airfield is available for them in the country. This will save fuel and time and passengers will have to pay less fare.

7-Space Zone
There will be an opportunity to increase private sector participation in the space. Private companies will be able to use the facilities of ISRO. A liberal policy will be made for Geospaceal data, so that our start ups do not have to depend on overseas.

8-nuclear power
Research reactor will be set up in PPP mode to produce medical isotopes. This will help the world in the treatment of diseases like cancer. At present, nuclear power is completely with the government.
