New Delhi, On Saturday, a 32-year-old woman filed an FIR against Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Uttarakhand minister Harak Singh Rawat for allegedly raping her in the national capital on the pretext of getting her a job.

As per the police, “on Saturday morning, the woman from Assam had approached the Safdurjung police station in south Delhi and registered a complaint.”

The Woman’s statement has been recorded by police under Section 164 of the CrPC.

Rawat was earlier accused of molesting another woman in 2003, after which a case was registered against him.
