Thursday morning, a fire broke out in the under construction Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Agriculture College, officials said. but the fire fighters brought the blaze under control immediately.

SDO Mohammad Shafique said, "Two teams of fire brigade from Kishanganj while another one team from Thakurganj were pressed into service to douse the flames" he added 'Fire might have broken out due to short circuit'.

Construction Company Manager Santosh Singh said that "We have not assessed the actual amount of damage caused by the fire. The loss due to fire is being calculated," 

fortunately no one was said to be hurt in the incident, the police are investigating the exact cause of fire.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had inaugurated the agriculture college last year and named APJ Abdul Kalam before the announcement of assembly elections.
