New Delhi: This will be the first time in the history of Indian Railways that passengers will be compensated for delay in the arrival of trains. On Saturday, the New Delhi Lucknow Tejas Express train reached the national capital New Delhi with a delay of three and a half hours. This railway is operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on behalf of the railway, it is also the first private train in the country.

According to the rule, this train gets a compensation of Rs 100 for a delay of 1 hour and a maximum of Rs 250 for a delay of 2 hours or more. On Saturday (October 19), there were 451 passengers in the train arriving from Lucknow to Delhi, due to the delay of this train, now all passengers will be given a compensation of Rs 250. IRCTC has said that the message has been sent to all passengers, through the link sent in it, passengers can make their claim for compensation.
