BIHAR:- Death toll continues to rise in bihar with 6 more deaths being reported, making the toll to rise upto 205.

Overall 31 districts have been affected in the floods which has resulted in many parts of the state submerged in the water.The flood situation remained Grim in bhagalpur, madhubani, khagaria, and katihar as some parts of these districts are still swelling and flowing above the mark.

The disaster managment department of the Bihar government has informed that fresh deaths have been reported in bhagalpur and khagria districts .

According to the newly released statistics, the recent floods have miserably affected the lives of 78lakh of Bihar. Many people have been displaced, have lost lives, havn't had any food to eat, have even survived without drinking water for days at a stretch.

More than three lakh hectares of crop area have been damaged in the floods, and crops worth Rs 270 crore has also been destroyed. According to details, public property worth Rs 11 crore has been damaged.

The state government has demanded a special flood relief package to be provided to Bihar after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi two weeks back.!
