New Delhi: At an event in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said, "For more than 40,000 years, the DNA of all people in India has been the same. At the same time, he said, "The DNA of all the people of India is one. At the same time, Mohan Bhagwat also hit out at the media and said, "The media presents the RSS as remote control of the government, but the truth is not this and nothing greater than the truth can happen. India is not a world power but certainly has the potential to become a world guru in the post-corona epidemic era.''

Addressing ex-servicemen in Dharamshala, Mohan Bhagwat said, "The media refers to us as remote control of the government, but it is false. However, some of our workers are definitely part of the government. The Government does not give any assurance to our volunteers. People ask us what we get from the Government. My answer to them is that we may have to lose our own."

Further highlighting ancient Indian practices in medicine, he said, "Through our traditional Indian remedies like kadha, kwath (herbal formulation) and cleanliness, we have seen that now, the world looks at India and wants to emulate the Indian model. Our country may not become a world power, but it can definitely be a world guru."

The RSS chief had observed a minute's silence in memory of the Chief of Defence Staff late Bipin Rawat and 13 others who were killed in a helicopter accident near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu recently. Calling for unity, Mohan Bhagwat said, "India's undivided land has been defeated for centuries by fighting foreign invaders because the local population was not united. At the same time, he quoted social reformer, BR Ambedkar, as saying, "We are never defeated by anyone's strengths but by our weaknesses.''
