Due to these restrictions, no foreign players will be able to come to India till April 15 to play in the Indian Premier League this year. Foreign players playing in the IPL come to India with business visas. According to the instructions of the Government of India, no foreign traveler can come till 15 April. In view of new cases of Coronavirus in the country, the government has issued advisory and canceled all foreign visas till April 15. However, concessions have been granted in some categories including diplomats.
So far 73 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported across India. More than 4000 people have died due to this disease all over the world. Whether or not IPL 2020 will be postponed will be decided on 14 March in Mumbai. On that day there will be a meeting of the IPL Governing Council, in which BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah will also be present. The BCCI has the option that it can have an IPL match in the absence of spectators at the stadium.
