Now the footballer Syed Shahid Hakim, who has been honored with the Dhyan Chand Award, is in the grip of Corona. He is currently undergoing treatment at the segregation center in Hyderabad. The 81-year-old Hakim, who was part of India's 1960 Rome Olympic team, confirmed this on Wednesday.
In this regard, he said, 'Yes, I got positive positive six days ago in the investigation of Covid-19 and at this time I am in a hotel in Hyderabad which has been converted by the state government into a segregation center.' He further said, 'For the last two days I have been seeing a slight improvement in my health and hope to get a negative check-up soon and go back to my home in a few days.' Hakim had become ill since his visit to Gulbarga in Karnataka. This time he said, 'I went to Gulbarga, after which I got a fever and I was taking fever medicine. Later an X-ray of my chest was done and I was told that I had pneumonia.' He further said, 'Later, I was advised to undergo corona test. Its result turned out to be positive. All this has happened six days ago. '
The footballer Hakim was awarded the Dhyanchand Award for 'Life Time Achievement' in the year 2017. Since the end of his football career, footballer Hakim has been referencing international matches until 1989, including the 1988 AFC Asia Cup.
