Lucknow: The troubles of former Uttar Pradesh MLC Haji Iqbal and his family members do not seem to be stopping. A case of gang rape has been registered against Haji Iqbal's brother, former MLC Mehmood Ali, and his sons. A young woman from Delhi has accused them of raping her on the pretext of a job. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.  

According to the police, a young woman from Delhi has lodged an FIR at Mirzapur police station. The victim says she came in contact with Saif, a resident of Mirzapur, in March 2022. Saif promised to get her a job at a university in Mirzapur. After this, former MLC Haji Iqbal's brother former MLC Mehmood Ali, and sons Wajid, and Javed held her hostage and gang-raped her. On the complaint of the girl, Mirzapur police immediately registered a case and started investigating the case.  

Superintendent of Police Suraj Rai said that a case has been registered against Mehmood, Javed, Wajid, and Saif by a young woman from Delhi. An investigation has been launched into the matter. Further appropriate legal action will be taken based on the investigation.
