New Delhi: Former Prime Minister of the country Dr. Manmohan Singh will go to attend the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor. He will join the first batch to leave on November 9. Manmohan will attend this ceremony on the invitation of Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh. Actually, the Government of Pakistan had also invited him, but Manmohan would not go on the invitation of Pakistan.
In fact, Punjab CM Capt Amarinder met Dr. Manmohan Singh on Thursday and invited him to walk at the inauguration of Kartarpur corridor. For this reason, Manmohan Singh will accompany Captain Amarinder in the first batch on November 9 for the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur corridor. Significantly, the Kartarpur corridor will be opened for devotees on 9 November. Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had last Friday said to invite him.
Qureshi had said, "We would like to invite former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh to the inaugural function of Kartarpur Corridor. He also represents the Sikh community. We will also send a formal invitation to the former PM." Pakistan did not send an invitation to Indian PM Narendra Modi due to diplomatic tactics but had sent an invitation to former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, but this diplomacy of Pakistan did not succeed.
