Four Coaches Derail from Sabarmati-Agra Superfast Train in Ajmer, Rajasthan; No Casualties

AJMER:Four carriages of the Sabarmati-Agra superfast train derailed near Ajmer station in Rajasthan early on Monday. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in the incident, which happened around 1 am. The train was en route to Agra when the derailment occurred.

According to officials, the incident occurred as the train was passing Ajmer station and approaching Madar station. The cause of the derailment is still unknown, stated Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of the North Western Railway (NWR) Zone.

Kiran mentioned, "No injuries or deaths have been reported. Train services in the up/down direction towards Delhi have resumed, and services towards Uttar Pradesh will also resume shortly."

To assist passengers and their relatives, NWR has established a helpdesk at Ajmer station and provided a helpline number: 0145-2429642.

"Due to the derailment, six trains have been cancelled and two others have been diverted to alternative routes," Kiran informed.
