New Delhi: Entry to 4 Ahm stations of Delhi Metro has been partially stopped on Tuesday as the six-day lockdown came into effect in the national capital. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that entry to Rajiv Chowk, Kashmiri Gate, New Delhi, and Chandni Chowk metro stations has been temporarily stopped. Only passengers will be allowed to leave at these metro stations.

It said a decision has been taken to ensure social distancing as part of crowd control measures. In addition, metro trains will run in intervals between the lockdown period in Delhi. "Between morning (8 am to 10 am) and in the evening (5 pm to 7 pm) is going to be available with a gap of 30 minutes across the network," DMRC said in a statement. 

As per the information received, it is important to note that metro services can be exempted from valid identification proof only by the people. CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced a lockdown from 10 pm on Monday to 5 am next Monday as the health system in the state was falling short due to increased infections.
