Four sympathisers of the illegal CPI (Maoists) were arrested here on Monday. Dabbakatla Suman of Tadwai, Chanda Mahesh of Tadwai Mandal, Tatipala Ramesh of Dornakal Mandal Banjara of Mahabubabad district, Chidam Jangudev of Utnur Mandal of Adilabad district.
Asp Sai Chaitanya, who was shown in front of the media here on Monday, was waiting for a vehicle at the Harita Hotel near the Tadwai Mandal Centre and handed over the information and some books to meet top Maoist leaders Haribhushan, Damodar, Raji Reddy and Mylarapu Adellu to go to Chhattisgarh.
"They tried to escape after seeing the police team, but the police caught them. According to the arrested persons, 13 other people from various districts are also working for the Maoist party," the ASP said and said that all these people were collecting party fund for Maoists and encouraged young people to join the banned party. The police also recovered revolutionary literature and four cell phones from them. "They will be present before the court," added the ASP. Osd Shoban Kumar, Pasra CI Srinivas, RI Kiran Kumar and Tadwai SI Venkateswara Rao participated in the press meet.
