Srinagar: Security forces have suffered a major success in Budgam district of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. 53-RR of Indian Army and a joint operation of Budgam Police busted a Lashkar module. Security forces have arrested Lashkar Militant Associate Wasim Gani along with three other terrorists.

According to the information received, this action was carried out on Sunday in a joint operation of the local police and the Indian Army in Birwa area under Budgam district. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area and arrested four terrorists through a search operation. It also includes Wasim Gani, the militant associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terrorist organization.

Three other terrorists were also arrested by the security forces during the operation. It was told that this group provides shelter to terrorists in the area.It also assists them to spread panic in the area. The Indian Army is in alert mode at this time and is running a search operation continuously, giving terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Even before this, the army had piled up Hizbul's infamous terrorist Riyaz Naikoo in an encounter.
