Srinagar: Security forces have killed four militants in Shopian, Kashmir. Encounter is still on. Two to three more terrorists are reported to be hiding. Extra force has been deployed to stop the stone-pelters from gathering at the site of the encounter and internet has been shut down in the entire area.

Security forces got information that militants are hiding in Reban village under Shopian district in South Kashmir. On the basis of information, Army's 1-RR, 178 battalions of CRPF and SOG personnel started the siege of the area. Seeing themselves surrounded, the terrorists started targeting the security forces. The soldiers also talked about surrendering to the terrorists before taking charge. But the terrorists continued to target the security forces. After this, the soldiers took the front and killed four terrorists.
