Freida Pinto the Indian origin actress has unveiled that she is playing a role of Mowgli’s adoptive mother in the film Jungle Book:Origins.

Directed by Andy Serkis this film is based on the live action adventure fantasy.  This film will not be the first Hollywood film of Pinto before it she saw in the Rise of the Planet of the Apes with co-star Serkis

31 year old Freida said she is very excited to be a part of the film, which is based on the novel by Rudyard Kipling, reported Entertainment Tonight.

Pinto said,“I play Mowgli’s adoptive mother, so I’m very, very excited about it. I read The Jungle Book and watched the TV series in India growing up, and for me, to finally be part of the film that reminds me so much of my childhood is just amazing

She also added, “It’s one of those films that I feel, no matter what age group you are, you’re going to enjoy that film, and I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve done something like that, because most of my films have not been good enough for children. A little too intense, so I’m very happy to finally be doing a film that can be watched by kids,”

Rohan Chand will be in the lead role of Mowgli in Jungle Book: Origins and this movie will be release in 2017.
