One of the most loved comedians Raju Srivastava has passed away at the age of 58. The comedian took his last breath at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. Raju was admitted to AIIMS after he had a heart attack on August 10.    According to  the source, "He was doing his routine exercise and while he was on the treadmill, he suddenly fell down. He suffered a heart attack and was immediately taken to the AIIMS hospital”

Raju Srivastav's real name was Satya Prakash, but today the world knows him as Raju Srivastava. Raju's father was a popular poet from Kanpur and used to entertain the audience with his poems, but Raju was fond of comedy since childhood. He wanted to become a comedian.  Raju hails from Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh.

The comedian famous for his character Gajodar Bhaiya started his career with the TV show 'Tea Time Manoranjan'. Before becoming famous in the field of comedy, he has also worked in many films. He get recognition from 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge'. In this show, he showed  the pattern of UP and made people laugh with his punch line.  Although Raju Srivastav (Gajodhar Bhaiyya) was the runner up in this show, but the audience gave him the title of 'The King of Comedy'.

Raju Srivastava, who came to Mumbai to become a comedian, also faced a lot of trouble here. Money sent from home used to fall short in a city like Mumbai. Raju Srivastav also drove an auto to bear the expenses. He also got his first break because of a riding auto.  Someone identified Raju’s Talent and gave him chance.  When he started getting shows, he did comedy for 50 rupees.
Raju Srivastav has featured in various Hindi films such as "Maine Pyar Kiya", "Baazigar", "Bombay to Goa" (remake) and "Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya". He was one of the contestants on "Bigg Boss" season three. He was the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council.
