NEW DELHI: Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, expressed confidence in India's capacity to lead the G20 on December 1.

Macron emphasised on Twitter that he thinks Prime Minister Narendra Modi would unite people to bring about peace and a sustainable world.

Macron tweeted, “One Earth, One Family, One Future. India has taken over the presidency of #G20India! I trust my friend @NarendraModi to bring us together in order to build peace and a more sustainable world.”

Earlier on December 2, before India took over the G20 Presidency, Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Kudos to PM Narendra Modi, the government, and the people of India on India assuming the Presidency of G20. I have every trust in India’s leadership to promote diplomacy and dialogue to build consensus and find enduring solutions to pressing issues in global affairs.”

Anthony Albanese, the prime minister of Australia, had earlier on December 1 wished India well as it assumed the G20 chairmanship. Wishing @narendramodi much success as India takes over the G20 chairmanship, Albanese tweeted.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida also thanked PM Narendra Modi as India assumed the G20 Presidency. He was anxious to work with PM Modi to find solutions to the many problems that the world community was experiencing.
The theme of India's G20 Presidency is "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," which translates to "One Earth, One Family, One Future," as per a press release from the Ministry of External Affairs. Throughout its presidency, India will host more than 200 meetings in more than 50 cities, covering 32 various workstreams.

India will also have the ability to introduce its rich cultural past and a genuine Indian experience to G20 guests and delegates. India took over the former presidency's social media accounts, including its Twitter handle, and created the G20 website in November.
