Allahabad: The Government of India is running a Namami Gange project to make the river Ganga pollution-free again. PM Narendra Modi himself had resolved to clean Mother Ganga. But the mission did not work at a pace that has now been resented by the Allahabad High Court. The High Court has described the Ganga as one of the most polluted rivers in the world.

A bench of Justices Ritu Raj Awasthi and Dinesh Kumar Singh said that Ganga is one of the most polluted rivers in the world. This is the lifeline of the country. It is worshipped by millions of people. The livelihood of many depends on it. But still, the river is very polluted now. The High Court has stressed that industrial waste and religious activities have been the main reasons for the increase in pollution in the Ganga. The Namami Gange project can now play an important role in reducing pollution. The High Court believes that the central government's project is of national importance and should be implemented effectively at the earliest. Otherwise, not only will the cost of the projected increase, but the mission to clean the Ganga will also remain incomplete.

The court has asked the petitioners to work honestly to make the project a success so as to actually reduce pollution of the Ganga. The High Court believes that the Ganga is not just a river, but the future of the country also depends on it. In his eyes, if the Ganga is in good health, the future of the country will also be strong.
