Before the IPL 2021 match between Mumbai Indians begins against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season opener on April 9 in Chennai many predictions have been made for the league. Recently, Legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has made a big prediction in relation to Mumbai Indians. He believes defending champions Mumbai Indians will be hard n the upcoming IPL season.

This statement of Gavaskar was made after numerous MI players made there impact with there match-winning, contributions during the limited-overs leg of England's tour of India. Let us tell you that two MI stars made their debut in the T20I series held at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan smashed a 32-ball 56 to help his team win the five-match series. Whereas Kishan made 60 runs in 2 matches as he missed the last two games due to a groin injury. Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar backing the MI team says "will be hard to beat. We have just seen their players coming to form. Ishan Kishan, Suryakunar Yadav the way they have batted. Hardik Pandya the way he has come today."

In the meantime, the legendary cricketer also pointed out about Hardik's fitness "Not just for Mumbai Indians, it was important for Indian cricket to see Pandya bowl 9 overs and bowling consistently at the highest level is a welcome news for Mumbai Indians and the senior national team."
