New Delhi: Harjot Singh, an Indian student who sustained bullet injuries in Ukraine's capital Kyiv, is returning home. A recent video of Harjot Singh has surfaced, in which he is seen sitting in an ambulance and travelling to Poland. He will be brought to India by plane from Poland. Harjot, who was sitting in the ambulance, looked very emotional. He said that all is well at the moment, but the journey here was very difficult. Somehow, there was just a desire to get back to your homeland.

Earlier, Union Minister General V K Singh had tweeted about the return of Harjot Singh. He tweeted, "Harjot Singh is the Indian who was shot during the war in Kyiv. His passport was also lost in the chaos. I am glad to inform that Harjot is arriving with us in India tomorrow. It is hoped that he will get home food and his speedy recovery with care. '

Harjot Singh, a resident of Chhatarpur in Delhi, had left for India with his friends on February 27 during the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. Due to lack of space on the train, he resorted to a cab to reach the Poland border, but on the way, he was stopped and asked to go back and as soon as the cab took the U-turn, firing started. In the firing, Harjot Singh was shot and he was injured. During that time, his passport was also lost in the stampede. As soon as the information was received in this regard, the Government of India acted swiftly. His treatment was arranged through the embassy and now Harjot is returning home on Monday. In order to evacuate the Indians trapped there due to the Ukraine-Russia war, the Government of India has run 'Operation Ganga', under which 19920 Indians have returned from Ukraine.
