MUNICH – After the US warned of an impending invasion, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock advised against predicting or assuming Russia's decisions on Ukraine.

"We don't know if an assault has been planned yet," the Minister remarked on the margins of the Munich Security Conference, which is now ongoing. "My urgent request to all is that we look closely at the facts on the ground," Baerbock said, warning of the dangers of "targeted disinformation," according to reports. "The most improper thing to do in a crisis scenario is to guess or presume," Baerbock said in answer to a question about whether Germany agreed with US Vice President Joe Biden's judgement.

US President Jeo Biden stated earlier said that he is "convinced" that Russian President Vladimir Putin has "decided" to strike Ukraine in the coming days, sparking fears of a massive European confrontation.
