Ghaziabad: If you too are fond of raising a dog then there is bad news for you. Now, you have to pay a fee of five thousand rupees for keeping a dog. Also, a penalty of 500 rupees will also be recovered if the dog is found to be spreading dirt while moving. The resolution has been passed at the board meeting of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation on Friday.
Councilor Sanjay Kumar of ward number 100 raised the issue of dogs and monkeys in the meeting. He told the meeting that the dogs of the city have become dangerous and are attacking children and the elderly. This problem is not only about his ward. This is the situation in all the 100 wards. It has not been run for months to catch dogs and monkeys. After this, all the councilors raised a voice demanding to save people from the terror of dogs and monkeys.
In this meeting, Mayor of Ghaziabad Asha Sharma has given instructions to start a campaign to catch dogs and monkeys. The mayor has also said that it will be mandatory to register pet dogs, as well as their owner will have to pay a fee for registration. The mayor said that for registration, five thousand rupees will have to be paid and if the dog spreads dirt, its owner will also be charged a fine of 500 rupees.
