Chennai: On Thursday, IAS Officer Girrija Vaidyanathan is appointed as the New Chief Secretary of TamilNadu. She is been chosen for the post after Income Tax department raided the property of P.Rama Mohana Rao.
The Senior IAS officer is currently a Additional Chief Secretary and also a commissioner of Land Reforms. IT department has even raided the residences of some of Rao's associates.
Apart, from this she will also take charge of Vigilance Commissioner and Commissioner for Administrative reform.
