Dhanush fans have been celebrating the 15th year of Pudhupettai by trending #15YearsOfPudhupettai on Twitter. Many of them have been tweeting about their favourite scenes and videos from the film on social media apart from remembering the day they watched the movie from theatres. Interestingly, Gitanjali Selvaraghavan, too, shared her experience of watching the film. She revealed that though she missed catching up the FDFS, she enjoyed the film thoroughly while watching with her friends after a few days of its release. Gitanjali also did her final term dissertation on the film.
Her tweet read, "Didn’t go FDFS because I think I had college and couldn’t bunk. But remember watching with a bunch of my friends few days later and was blown away. Went on to go to Sheffield for my masters in film production and post production and did my final term dissertation on the movie."
Gitanjali also shared that Pudhupettai was a turning point in the way she watched Tamil films. She tweeted, "It was quite a turning point in the way I started watching tamizh movies!"
