In the future, partnership between information technology and the tourism sector will offer new doors."

"The growth of tourism and safety is a team effort. The ecosystem will improve in the future with this kind of Apps," he said. Rohan Khaunte, Goa's Minister of Information Technology and Tourism, was also present. Drishti personnel, police, and other stakeholders can raise issues for the protection of tourists' interests, he said, using the Beach Vigil App.

The administration is working on finalising an integrated beach cleaning plan. "Everything from reporting unlawful hawkers and illicit massage services to beach cleanliness" will be covered by the Beach Vigil App, said Mr. Khaunte. Earlier, Chief Minister Sawant presented certificates and incentives to newly registered start-ups under the start-up scheme.

"I am confident that the start-up policy enumerated by the IT Minister will benefit existing and emerging start-ups in the state," Sawant added. The state administration hopes to make the coastline state one of Asia's top 25 start-up hotspots by 2025.
