New Delhi: Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi, ministers in the Delhi government, have announced free electricity subsidies in Delhi in a press conference. He said a big conspiracy has been going on in Delhi for the past several days. He said BJP leaders sit in the LG office, and the officers of the electricity department are called there and pressure is put on them to abolish the electricity subsidy.


The Aam Aadmi Party leaders alleged that every year a cabinet note is prepared for the scheme of electricity subsidy, and then the BJP is pressuring the electricity officers in the LG office to stop the free subsidy to advocates and farmers. He announced that free electricity subsidies would continue in Delhi this year as well.


Aam Aadmi Party leaders Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi said that up to 200 units of electricity will be free. The electricity bill will be halved up to 200–400 units. On the other hand, free electricity will continue for farmers,  lawyers, and victims of the 1984 riots. Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that to reduce the dust pollution in Delhi, the PWD department is buying 70 mechanical sweeping machines for 70 assemblies to remove dust from the roads.

Pointing out a change, he said that instead of MCD, now PWD will clean the roads. The Aam Aadmi Party leader said 250 water sprinkler machines will be purchased for 250 wards to deal with the dust present on the trees. A budget of 23,888 crores will be spent on this scheme.
