Lucknow: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in 20 districts of Uttar Pradesh, including the capital Lucknow, today and tomorrow. Yesterday i.e. on Thursday (September 15), IMD's satellite image saw a gathering of dense dark clouds over Lucknow. The record rainfall in Lucknow within a day has severely disrupted normal life.
In Lucknow, the administration has issued an order to close schools of all boards up to the 12th on Friday. Along with this, many governments, and non-government offices have also been closed. Universities and other higher educational institutions have also been advised to take decisions at their own level in view of the weather. At the same time, due to rain, farmers have got some relief from drought. The rain will benefit the paddy crop.
Due to the rains, the temperature of the capital Lucknow has dropped by about 3 degrees Celsius. The weather has become pleasant due to cold wind gusts and dense clouds. The rain has completely eliminated the heat and humidity of the weather. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be heavy rains in the state till 18. An alert of heavy rains has been issued in 20 other districts.
