Government employees' posts on internet can put them in trouble:  Mehbooba Mufti

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti government in Jammu and Kashmir has tend fresh controversy with its latest amendment of conduct rules for the state employees.The employees have been asked not to post anything on social media which favours any political ideology or is seen as inflammatory or against the interests of the government. Failure to adhere to the rules can land the employee in trouble.It has also said that the employees should also not post inflammatory, extraneous messages in an online community with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion.

Meanwhile, the order has triggered resentment amongst the employees, many of whom have come out on social media taking veiled jibes at the government gag order.As per the notice issued by the General Administration Department of the Jammu and Kashmir government, no Government employee shall engage in any criminal, dishonest, immoral or notoriously disgraceful conduct on social media which may be prejudicial to the Government.On the other hand, several government employees have taken to Twitter to highlight their resentment against the 'gag' order by taking veiled jibes at the Bharti Janta Party government.
