Governor ESL Narasimhan approved Telangana assembly dissolution, tone set for early polls

Hyderabad [India], Sept 6 (NT): Governor ESL Narasimhan approved assembly dissolution as recommended by Telangana CM KC Rao. Governor has asked Rao to continue as caretaker Telangana CM till the new government is formed.

The decision sets the pitches for early polls in the southern state. On the other hand, the Governor has asked Rao to continue as caretaker chief minister until the new government is formed.

Earlier in the day, Rao, who is commonly known as KCR, met the Governor after the cabinet meeting and informed him of his government's choice.

On Sunday, addressing a mega public meeting, Pragathi Nivedana Sabha, of his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the Ranga Reddy district, KCR had asserted the need for intensification regional parties.

Addressing the huge crowd, Rao had said that some media channels are saying KCR will dissolve the government. All TRS members have given him an opportunity to take a decision on the future of Telangana.

He added, “Ministers told me to take any decision on dissolving the government. I will tell you when I take a decision."

Meanwhile, Telangana people are happy that they have got rid of a despotic and autocratic rule, said Uttam Kumar Reddy,Congress Telangana Chief on state Assembly dissolved .He added, “ Congress party will sweep the polls”.(NT)
