New Delhi: The Centre will introduce the Kashmir Reservation Amendment Bill in Parliament today. Amid speculations and rumours over the Kashmir issue for the past two days, the agitation at the central government level on Sunday has further added to the stir. Amid a series of guidelines for return of tourists and government machinery, Home Minister Amit Shah held a lengthy meeting with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Home Secretary Rajiv Gawa and Heads of Intelligence Department.

Meanwhile, a general cabinet meeting on Wednesday has been convened on Monday. The government plans to introduce the Kashmir Reservation Amendment Bill in Parliament on the same day. However, the Home Minister's visit to Kashmir is drawing a blueprint at the end of the Parliament session. Home Minister Amit Shah held a three-hour meeting with the heads of NSA, Home Secretary, IB and RAW at Parliament House. The NSA, who recently returned from the Kashmir Valley, made Shah aware of the situation there.

The situation and strategy for immediate evacuation of tourists from Kashmir was also seriously discussed during the visit. Sources believe that the Amarnath Yatra was an attempt by Pakistan to infiltrate in large numbers. This effort is continuing. Several Pakistani soldiers and militants have been killed in retaliation. With this, it has been decided to end the Amarnath Yatra in between and bring back the tourists soon.
