Ahmadabad: Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrasekhar said here on Sunday that the Centre is working to connect Indian entrepreneurs with the government ecosystem so that their innovative solutions may meet the government's procurement needs.
Chandrasekhar, who was at Gujarat University to interact with students on the topic of 'New India for Young India,' said the government is striving to develop an institutional framework for the Digital India Startup Hub as soon as possible to help the country's startup ecosystem grow.
"Soon, the Digital India Startup Hub will be built as an institutional framework to boost the startup ecosystem and centrally coordinate startup initiatives at the national level. The government is working to connect entrepreneurs with its ecosystem so that they can meet the government's procurement needs with new solutions "he stated. For India's growing digital economy, the minister emphasised the need of gaining digital skills.
"Going forward, the mantra will be innovation, innovation, and more innovation. Our future will be driven by innovation. Our entrepreneurs and startups will propel the Indian economy to USD 5 trillion and the Digital Economy to USD 1 trillion "Chandrasekhar, who is also the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology said, adding that there has never been a better time for the youth to succeed than under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new India.
"Entrepreneurship was an exception rather than a rule or a norm prior to 2014. Thanks to the proactive initiatives of the Narendra Modi government and the Gujarat government, there has never been a better time for young Indians to flourish than now " the Union minister said.
