Bhopal: In view of the increasing cases of corona in Madhya Pradesh, the health services have been declared as essential services (ESMA) by the government for the next 3 months. Yes, from now on, no doctor or nurse, or paramedical staff will be able to prevent patients from being treated. In fact, the government has issued its notification in the Gazette late Wednesday evening. It has been written in this notification that health services have been declared essential for 3 months.

The rule will be applicable to all government and non-government health facilities in the state. According to reports, no doctor or nurse in government or private hospitals can refuse to treat the patient since ESMA is implemented. Dr. Rajesh Rajura Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Health himself says, "Health services have been notified as essential services for 3 months to prevent corona epidemic.'' As per the notification in the Gazette issued by the Department, Madhya Pradesh has given a direction in exercise of the powers given in sub-section 1 of section 4 of the Urgent Service Holding and Prevention of Disintiance Act-1979.

Under this directive, the state government has included all government, private, and medical institutions with all health facilities, doctors, nurses and health workers, sanitation workers in health institutions, sales, and transportation of medical equipment, sale of medicines, transport-manufacturing, ambulance services, water-power supply, security-related services, management of food-drinking water provision and bio-medical waste management in urgent services. It has been said that no one will be refused to all these health-related works for the next 3 months.
