A youth living in Sector Delta-1 of Greater Noida committed suicide by hanging himself. The youth has also made a 12-minute video before committing suicide, in which he has accused his wife and in-laws of harassment. It has been learned that in the video made before committing suicide, the young man has accused the wife of having an affair with another man before and accused in-laws of demanding Rs 60 lakh for divorce. Based on the complaint and video of the deceased's the Surajpur Kotwali police has initiated action by registering a case against the wife, her parents and uncle in relevant sections.

Ashok Kumar, a resident of Delta-1, has said in the complaint given to the police that his younger brother Arun Kumar was working in a Noida company. Arun was married on 8 February 2019 to the daughter of Dharampal, a resident of Sangam Vihar, Delhi. It is alleged that since the marriage, the wife's behavior was not good towards Arun. The wife told Arun the first night that her parents got her forcefully married, while she was in love with someone else for six-seven years. According to the complaint given to the police, the wife used to repeatedly fight and go to her father. When he complained about this to Sheetal's family, he used to threaten Arun, besides convincing him. It is alleged that Arun's in-laws were demanding 60 lakh rupees for getting divorce from Sheetal. The accused said to Arun that if he cannot give money then give his life. Due to this, Arun hanged himself in the room of his house on October 19 and killed himself.

Police arrived after receiving information about suicide, a post-mortem of Arun's body was done. Meanwhile, the family got a video of Arun's mobile made before his death, in which he had made many allegations against Sheetal and his in-laws. After the video surfaced, the police has registered a case under relevant sections and a probe has been issued.
