Ahmedabad: The bodies of 6 members of a family have been recovered from a flat in the Ahmedabad city of Gujarat. According to police, four children are among these people who committed suicide in the flat. The dead children are between 7 and 12 years of age. Apart from this, the police have also recovered the bodies of two brothers, aged 40 and 42, in this house.

According to the Ahmedabad police, the bodies of all of them have been recovered from a flat in Watwa GIDC area of Ahmedabad on Friday morning. The deceased include two brothers, Amrish Patel and Gaurang Patel, and four children from his family. According to the family, Amrish and Gaurang lived in different areas of Ahmedabad itself. On June 17, the two brothers left the house with their children, saying that they were going for a walk. But after leaving the house, when all did not return till Thursday night, their wives reached this flat. When the house got closed from inside, they informed the police. After this, when the police broke the door of the house, the bodies of both brothers were found in its drawing room.

Apart from this, the bodies of two girls Kirti (7) and Sanvi (7) have been found in the kitchen. The bodies of two children named Mayur (12) and Dhruv (12) are found hanging from the fan in another room of the house. Police officials said that all the bodies have been found hanging from the ceiling of the house and the matter is being investigated by sending them for postmortem.
