Surat becomes Corona's hotspot, CM Rupani announced Rs 100 crore and 200 ventilators

Surat: Surat has emerged as a new hotspot of corona virus. The Chief Minister of the state Vijay Rupani and Deputy CM Nitin Patel reached Surat on Saturday amidst the fast growing corona cases. He held a meeting with administrative officials, MPs and MLAs here for about 4 hours to prevent the spread of Corona.

Meanwhile, Gujarat CM Rupani announced to give Rs 100 crore for two new corona hospitals and send 200 ventilators. It is noteworthy that in Surat, the economic capital of Gujarat, the corona is wreaking havoc. 200 to 250 corona cases are being reported in Surat every day. So far 226 people including Surat city and rural areas have lost their lives due to corona, while hundreds of people are admitted in hospitals where they are undergoing treatment. In view of the condition of Surat, CM Vijay Rupani and Deputy CM Nitin Patel reached Surat from Gandhinagar at 10.30 am on Saturday. Here he held a marathon meeting with administrative officials.

CM Vijay Rupani gave information about this meeting while discussing with the media. During this time, he said that no matter how much Corona cases may increase, a lockdown will not be imposed again in Surat. He also announced a package of Rs 100 crore and 200 ventilators to start two new Corona hospitals.
