Ahmedabad: Police took 9 people into custody after stone pelting took place at Garba in Udhela village under Kheda district of Gujarat. After this, the police took the accused to the village and tied them to poles and beat up the miscreants in turn. After this, by joining hands with the accused, they also apologized to the people of the Hindu community.

In fact, people of the Muslim community forcibly entered a Garba program late on Monday night in Udhela village under the Matar tehsil of the district. After misbehaving with the women, they attacked there. At least half a dozen people were injured in this incident. Kheda Superintendent of Police Rajesh Gadhia said that the incident took place near Tulja Mata temple in Udhela village. The sarpanch of the village Indravadan Patel had organized the Garba program here. Where Garba was being played late at night, in the meantime some anti-social people of the Muslim community came there and started stopping the devotees from performing the Garba of Matarani. When the organizers opposed this, they started pelting stones. 6 women were injured in this incident. It is being told that a Home Guard jawan has also been injured in stone pelting. 

As soon as the information was received, the DSP of Kheda district reached the spot along with the police team. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. After treating the doctors, all the injured have been discharged. At the same time, the police have registered a case and arrested 9 accused.
