Ahmedabad: Gujarat Police has registered a FIR against 10 Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) jawans for murder and attempt to murder. According to reports, an Indian fishing boat was allegedly fired upon in the Arabian Sea off the Gujarat coast, killing one crew member and injuring another.

An official said, sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 114 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and FIR were registered at Navi Bandar police station in Porbandar district on Sunday night under relevant provisions of the Arms Act. According to FIR, 10 unidentified PMSA personnel set fire to the Indian fishing boat 'Jalpari' at 4 pm on Saturday. In the incident, a 32-year-old fisherman, Sridhar Chamre, from Palghar district of Maharashtra, was killed and one fisherman Dilip Solanki (34) was injured. He was from Diu.

Dileep is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Okha coastal town of Devbhoomi Dwarka district of Gujarat. Tell us that there were 7 crew members on the Indian boat. An official source said on Sunday that we have taken this incident seriously and we are going to raise this issue diplomatically with Pakistan.
