Valsad: On the outskirts of Vapi town in Valsad, Gujarat's southern district, unknown masked miscreants today looted gold worth an estimated ten crore rupees from the office of a private gold finance company. The robbers looted the goods and escaped from there in about 10 minutes. Valsad Superintendent of Police Sunil Joshi told the media that the miscreants entered the office of the IIFL Gold and Finance Company on the first floor of Chandralok Arpament at Chanod of Dungra police station on the outskirts of the city at around quarter to ten.

They showed all the personnel and took possession of the weapons and looted around 11 packets of gold jewelery, etc., pledged inside the locker. He informed that the value of the stolen gold is being estimated. About three to four lakh rupees have been robbed in the form of cash. The robbers have mostly cleared their hands on gold.

At the same time, a worker of the company said that the estimated price of gold, which has been looted by about half a dozen masked robbers, is being estimated at Rs. 10 crores. Joshi has said that robbers are being identified based on CCTV footage. Surrounding areas are being tried to seize them. The incident is being investigated from all angles.
