People from Bollywood to TV have faced rejection. There have been many big stars who have suffered rejections. The list mostly includes stars who have not had a fair colour. Now we are going to introduce you to one such actress. Yes, just a few days ago, Hina Khan had said that she did not get the role of a Kashmiri girl because she was dusky in colour. Now, the same list is joined by 'Madam Sir' show actress Gulki Joshi. She has recently narrated a similar story.

In fact, the actress said that after doing a serial, she did not get any work for nearly a year and a half. Talking to a famous website, Gulki Joshi said that she faced rejection in several auditions. The actress said TV demands only white girls. Yes, she said, 'I also struggled because of my skin colour. There was a time when only fair face actresses were taken in the lead role in TV shows but god's grace gave me talent. Many times I was told that you don't match so much in looks but if you are a good performer, we cast you. I don't know if it was compliments or insults, but this happened.'

The actress further explained that this has happened many times, I used to go for auditions for the lead role and the casting director used to ask me, 'Well, have you come for the role of a maid?' I used to explain to him that I have come to suffice a person for the lead role. I can't blame anybody. This has been the case in the industry for years. Gulki started his career with the 'Crime Patrol' show in 2011. She then got a job in the serial 'Phir Subah Hogi' and after the show, she appeared in shows like 'Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja,' 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein,' and 'Lal Ishq.'
