NAGPUR: Congress is all set to launch its national poll campaign in Nagpur tomorrow with a grand rally titled "Hain Taiyaar Hum" (we are ready). Nana Patole, the Maharashtra unit chief of the party, anticipates an attendance of approximately 200,000 people at this significant event.

Scheduled to mark the party's foundation day, the rally will witness the presence of Congress leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, three chief ministers, and state party chiefs.

Nana Patole highlighted Nagpur's historical significance, emphasizing its role in past movements and revolutions. He pointed out that the city was where the Congress launched the non-cooperation movement against the British, a pivotal step toward India's independence in 1947. Drawing parallels to the current scenario, Patole criticized the ruling BJP, accusing them of steering the country towards an "employment-free India."

The Congress aims to address critical issues like unemployment, farmer rights, and restoring faith in democracy. Patole underscored a systematic threat to democracy and the Constitution, blaming the BJP for perpetuating an unfair system leading to problems like inflation, joblessness, and farmer distress. He stressed the Congress's commitment to ending this "tyrannical system" and building a corruption-free, just India.

Ashok Chavan, another Congress leader, visited the rally venue, asserting that the party would send a strong message to the BJP-led government. He criticized the government's failure in resolving core issues like unemployment, inflation, and farmer distress, emphasizing the need for effective solutions benefiting the citizens.
