Haj: First batch of 377 pilgrims to Medina flagged off from Cochin Airport

KOCHI: Cochin Airport welcomed the first wave of 377 pilgrims to Medina. On Saturday, the first flight carrying pilgrims for the Hajj trip in 2022 took off from Kerala's Kochi airport for Medina, Saudi Arabia. The SV 5747 flight of Saudi Arabian Airlines took off with 377 passengers. V Abdurahman, Kerala's Minister for Wakf and Hajj Pilgrimage, opened the event.

Kerala Minister for ports, museum, archaeology & archives Ahmad Devarkovil,  AP Abdullkutty, Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, and C Muhammad Faisi, Chairman of the State Hajj Committee, were also present there. "The first group of Indian Hajj pilgrims left Kochi airport for Saudi Arabia today. The last flight from Mumbai is scheduled to depart on July 3rd, as per our schedule. I'm asking for everyone's prayers and blessings. We are confident that, under Narendra Modi's guidance, all of the rituals in Mecca and Medina will be completed smoothly "According to AP Abdullakutty, Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee.

Meanwhile, Kerala's Minister for Wakf and Hajj Journey V Abdurahman stated that all preparations for the pilgrimage had been completed and that no complications had arisen. "All of the arrangements have been done. Today, 377 hajj pilgrims embarked on their trek on the first aircraft. They reached at the camp two days ago. . All of their tests have been completed. The flight has now taken off. There are no problems at the moment. Things are going well", Abdurahman stated.
