New Delhi: Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Friday said that those wishing to go on Hajj will have to take both doses of coronavirus vaccine. He said the entire process of the Hajj-2022 pilgrimage will be under corona guidelines laid down by the Governments of India and Saudi Arabia. He also said after chairing the Hajj Review Meeting that the official announcement of Hajj-2022 will be made in the first week of next month and the application process will also start at the same time.

The Central Minority Affairs further said, "This time preparations for Hajj 2022 have been started in view of the health and corona protocols of Saudi Arabia and the Government of India. The official announcement of Hajj 2022 will be made in the first week of November.'' At the same time, the process of online application for Hajj will also be initiated. The entire process of India's Hajj 2022 will be 100% online/digital. According to the Union Minority Minister, corona guidelines and special training on health and hygiene have been provided for people going for Hajj-2022 in India and Saudi Arabia.

He said that in view of the epidemic situation in Hajj 2022, the National-International Protocol guidelines will be followed expeditiously. He added, "The entire haj-2022 process is being carried out by the Government of Saudi Arabia and the Government of India in according with the eligibility criteria, age criteria, health conditions and all necessary guidelines to be decided in view of the Corona disaster."
