Â
In 2022, the NIA court sentenced Yasin Malik to life imprisonment for waging war against the UAPA and the country. In this case, Yasin had also confessed his crime, before this, Yasin has openly admitted to killing 4 Indian Air Force officers on TV. Earlier, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court on behalf of the NIA that if every criminal accepts his guilt, then he will get only life imprisonment and not the death penalty. Section 121 of the IPC also provides for the death penalty for waging war against the Government of India. If this is not the rest of rare case, in which someone continuously resorts to armed rebellion, kills army men, then what can be called the rest of the rare case?
Let us tell you, Kashmir's separatist leader Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment by the NIA court in the terror funding case. Yasin has been sentenced under several sections. He has been sentenced to life imprisonment in two cases and 10 years in jail in other cases. All sentences will run concurrently. Yasin was wanted in several cases related to funding and providing weapons to terrorists in Kashmir with the support of Pakistan. Apart from killing Indian Air Force officers, terrorist Yasin Malik is also accused of killing Kashmiri Hindus. Â Let me tell you, the same Yasin Malik was also invited by former PM Manmohan Singh for talks at the PM's residence, which caused a lot of ruckus, because Yasin had already confessed to killing unarmed officers of the Air Force.
