On this historic occasion of the inauguration of our new parliamentary complex, I requested the senior-most member of the current Lok Sabha to take a selfie together. BJP MP Varun Gandhi is a Lok Sabha MP from Pilibhit in UP and his mother Maneka Gandhi represents Sultanpur.
On the other hand, despite the boycott of opposition parties led by the Congress, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had announced to attend this inauguration ceremony, describing it as a historic moment for the country. All BSP MPs attended the event, but BSP MP from Amroha Kunwar Danish Ali stayed away. Like the Congress, Danish Ali also demanded that the new building should have been inaugurated by President Draupadi Murmu, sources said. It is being told that his party had persuaded him to join the program, but he remained adamant. Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud and all the judges of the Supreme Court were invited to the inauguration ceremony of Parliament House.
