Bollywood great actor Ajay Devgan was born on 2 April 1969 in Delhi. His father Veeru Devgan was a well-known stuntman in Hindi movies. While his mother Veena Devgan produced one or two movies. Due to the film atmosphere at home, Ajay Devgan's interest also turned towards movies and he started dreaming of becoming a director of movies.

Ajay did his graduation from Mithibai College in Mumbai. Subsequently, he started working as an assistant director with film director Shekhar Kapur. Meanwhile, he met Kuku Kohli. He asked Ajay Devgan to become the hero of the movie. After the success of his very first movie, Ajay Devgan managed to make his mark among the audience.

After the success of the movie 'Phool Aur Kaante', Ajay Devgan got a distinct identity as an action hero. In the year 1998, Ajay Devgan got an opportunity to work in Mahesh Bhatt's movie 'Zakham'. For this film, he was awarded the National Award for Best Actor. In the same year, another superhit movie Major Saab was screened with Amitabh Bachchan of Ajay Devgan's career.

In the year 1999, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' proved to be another important film in Ajay Devgan's career. Even in the presence of the stars like Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai, Ajay Devgan brought his serious character to life on the silver screen. He has been nominated for the Filmfare Award for his strong performance in this film.
