Virender Singh, who is known as the Ganga wrestler in India, has a birthday today. In many bouts, this quiet wrestler has brightened the country's name. Virender Singh is the only Indian player who won the gold medal at the Deaflympics (Olympics of deaf and dumb people). He has also won 5 medals in other international competitions with a gold medal in the Deaflympics of 2005 and 2013.

For your information, he is the only deaf and dumb wrestler who fights and wins wrestling with ordinary wrestlers. Virender, who has been in the age of 10, has been trained with famous wrestler Sushil Kumar. His goal is to play at the Rio Olympics of 2016, but the Federation is not allowing him because he can't speak and hear. So he has written a letter to the Sports ministry.

Step into the wrestling like this: In his childhood, Virender was sitting in the courtyard of his house when his relative, coming from outside, saw that he had shingles in the leg. He brought him to Delhi from where his wrestling started. However, Virender points out that he was fond of the wrestling from the arena near the house. His father Ajit Singh also used to do the wrestling in the same arena.
