Abu Dhabi: Hardik Pandya, an all-rounder of Mumbai Indians (MI), supported 'Black Lives Matter' (BLM) ie (blacks' lives matter) during a match in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). In the match played against Rajasthan Royals (RR), Hardik Pandya sat on his knees during his batting and supported 'Black Lives Matter'.

Hardik Pandya became the first player to support BLM in the IPL. This all-rounder scored an unbeaten 60 runs off 21 balls. He completed his half-century in the 19th over. During the batting, Pandya sat on one knee and raised his right hand to show his support for the campaign against racism. West Indies explosive batsman and Mumbai's acting captain Kieron Pollard expressed his support by clenching his right hand fist.

Hardik Pandya also shared his picture on Twitter after the match and gave his caption 'Black Lives Matter'. In fact, West Indian Test captain Jason Holder, playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, expressed disappointment last week when no Indian Premier League (IPL) team showed support for the campaign.
